Adrian Krygowski accompanies his audience on a journey, both musically and figuratively, with his new EP ‘Hope for Us”. The record, at turns buoyant in love and resolute in the face of hardship, epitomizes how the singer-songwriter’s life on the road has informed his passionate brand of storytelling. His songs conjure the punk-inflected folk of The Avett Brothers and the “Americana Soul” of Delta Spirit, while his inimitable vocal cadence draws comparisons to Bob Dylan and The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn. The EP was produced by Split Rock Records’ Ed Petterson and features the vocal talents of acclaimed singer-songwriter Garrison Starr, and the keyboard/piano sounds of Bettye Lavette and Al Hill. To showcase his latest musical offering, the crown-prince of the local folk scene has taken to the road for a 30 date nationwide tour, including three CD release cities (DC, Nashville, Chicago) and three showcases at SXSW. He will return to his adopted hometown of Washington, DC for a CD release show at The Dunes on April 20th.

Ubiquitous despite not yet being a household name, Evan’s music has been featured in commercials for surf-inspired footwear maker Reef, and he has performed in support of artists as diverse as O.A.R., Wyclef Jean, and the Flaming Lips.  Evan is building on the groundswell of popularity he enjoyed with his former band, well-respected East Coast reggae rockers ‘The Low Life’.  Needless to say, you will be hearing much more from him with the forthcoming release ‘ShhhPOW’, out this Spring on the philanthropic indie label Holster Records.

Introducing Tim Be Told….New EP “From The Inside”

Tim Be Told“They’re keyboard-driven power pop in the vein of Maroon 5 or the Fray. There’s some terrific songwriting going on there, and if they keep playing more gigs, they’ll gain a following really quickly.” - Brad Savage, DJ/Programming Director for 106.1

“I’m going to say hands down ["From the Inside"] is one of the strongest releases I’ve heard all year”
- MTV Iggy

“The material on the band’s latest EP, From The Inside, is as fetching as anything the Fray or Maroon 5 could whip up. But whereas each of those bands tend to stick to their respective strengths of balladeering and swaggering neo-soul, Tim Be Told covers both styles and more with an impressive amount of finesse.”
Delusions of Adequacy

Tim Be Told is a 5 piece songwriting power house, whose catchy soulful pop-rock sound elicits unavoidable comparisons with Maroon 5 and the Fray. Since their dorm room days of musical mayhem, the Charlottesville quintet has won UVA’s Battle of the Bands, created a booking frenzy on the college music circuit, played at some major music festivals, and garnered serious music industry interest.
